Job Overview

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Product Support Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) following changes to program baselines.
  • Assist in the resolution of alternative solutions to long lead time spares orders.
  • Provide initial responses to technical queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft.
  • Work closely with the FSR team to resolve initial issues.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support (LSA and Tech Pubs) team to ensure correct changes are made to the aircraft documentation set.
  • Support contingency planning and requirements to take projects smoothly into sustainment.
  • Mentor Supply Chain team members in the use of technical information.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous practical experience in aircraft maintenance (preferably fixed wing/737 related).
  • Experience of Logistics Support Analysis with the use of LSAR.
  • Support Engineering/Integrated Logistical Support related work experience.
  • Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use the aircraft document set, including technical drawings.
  • Understanding of Support Engineering in military environments.
  • Logistics Support Analysis (Spares Engineering).
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft drawing sets.
  • Authoring of Support Product documentation.
  • Education to degree level in a relevant engineering subject or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Ability to liaise with OEM platform side of Boeing to integrate UK solutions with those that exist on the base platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive first-time quality.
  • Experience of working with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications.
