We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer with experience in measurement systems and analysis to fill this critical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing various measurement systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRs, and FAIRs.
- Design and implement measurement policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
- Participate in product design reviews to promote repeatability and reliability in production.
- Conduct capability studies and gauge R&R as directed.
- Perform internal audits to the AS9100 standard.
- Support other duties as reasonably requested.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Working knowledge of Metrology with a background in Quality Engineering.
Experience:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed quality records.
Technical Knowledge:
- Applied working knowledge and use of basic Metrology tools (imperial and metric).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills & Competencies:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerances.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong computer skills.
