We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Asset Building Surveyor to join our Capital Programme Team within the Asset Management Service. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the delivery of condition surveys across Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the delivery of condition surveys across Lancashire, working closely with the Capital Programme Officer.
- Conduct condition surveys within a set parameter and timescale, inputting information into a property asset management system.
- Work with the Capital Programme Officer to identify improvements in systems and processes used to capture and record condition data.
- Support the wider Capital Programme Team in delivering its service objectives.
- Relevant professional or technical qualification to degree level or equivalent (e.g., Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction or relevant subject matter).
- High level of experience and knowledge in building/mechanical/electrical pathology, identifying defects and remedies, building construction types, mechanical or electrical infrastructure (particularly educational buildings), Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, relevant legislation, and current standards.
- Experience of identifying and prioritising condition needs across a varied portfolio.
- Experience of undertaking detailed condition surveys from start to completion, identifying defects and priorities.
- Ability to organise and manage time and prioritise work effectively while delivering a number of programmes, projects, and strategic objectives.
- Qualified MRICS - Chartered Member - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or other recognised Construction/Property profession or organisation.
