We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team in Wigan, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom.
This is a 9-12 month maternity cover position, offering a salary of Circa £45k - Fixed Term Contract (negotiable).
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting the overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage financial budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial processes.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage tax compliance and reporting activities to minimize financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team member to ensure effective financial operations and team development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform day-to-day duties covering all aspects of Finance, including payroll preparation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems, with a strong understanding of CAPEX and financial planning.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a supportive and collaborative approach.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
