About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Operate a range of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning objectives and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, has good written and verbal communication skills, and is able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential. You will be required to work a part-time schedule, with a minimum of 6 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

As a Cleaning Operative with Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions, you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate, plus Sunday premium pay. You will also receive a range of benefits, including 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years' service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme.
