Position: Children's Care Assistant
Location: Epsom and Ewell, Reigate & Banstead
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support to children with epilepsy and special needs throughout their school day.
- Administer nutrition and medications in accordance with established safety protocols.
- Assist children with personal care and daily tasks, ensuring a hygienic and secure environment.
- Develop positive relationships with children to promote their social and emotional growth.
- Work collaboratively with educators and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care.
- Oversee school excursions to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for all participants.
- Keep precise records of children's development, behavior, and medical requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience with children with epilepsy and special needs is preferred.
- Familiarity with epilepsy and its effects on children's everyday lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Empathetic care and emotional support for children with diverse requirements.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Capacity to work effectively both in a team and independently.
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and resilience in challenging circumstances.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Possession of a valid working with children check or the ability to obtain one.
