The Position: Claims Specialist - Financial Lines
Hybrid Work Arrangement - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
This position is ideal for an individual eager to advance in the insurance sector, preferably with CII certification or actively pursuing it. The candidate should be a proficient multi-tasker with extensive knowledge in Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers (D&O), and Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance. You will prioritize customer satisfaction by employing 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) and 'Treating Customers Fairly' (TCF) principles, managing claims in accordance with compliance, FCA regulations, and company policies.
As the organization experiences growth, numerous opportunities will arise to engage in exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee claims across various Financial Lines products, ensuring service excellence is achieved and maintained.
- Maintain an organized diary system for all claims, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the Acturis system.
- Provide the broking team and clients with necessary claims information and reports.
- Ensure complex claims are managed according to group protocols.
- Acknowledge all new claims to clients and insurers, keeping clients updated and striving for optimal outcomes.
- Generate claims management information and reports as needed.
- Meet with clients to present claims information when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management on an ad-hoc basis.
- Ensure personal Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is up-to-date by maintaining current skills and knowledge.
- Solid understanding of Professional Indemnity, D&O, and/or E&O claims handling, with strong commercial insight and thorough knowledge of insurance claims processes.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, applying TCF and KYC methodologies.
- Familiarity with the Acturis system (desirable but not mandatory), and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- CII certification or equivalent, or actively working towards it.
- Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
