Key Responsibilities:

  • **Child Safeguarding:** Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all children in our care, adhering to our nursery's safeguarding procedures.
  • **Quality of Care:** Maintain the highest standards of care in all areas of children's development, including social, physical, intellectual, and emotional growth.
  • **Team Support:** Support and work collaboratively with other team members to provide a nurturing environment for children to play, learn, and develop.
  • **Record Keeping:** Accurately record all information, including observations, assessments, and child development progress.
  • **Communication:** Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a seamless transition between home and nursery.
  • **Training and Development:** Attend staff training days, workshops, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • **Nursery Operations:** Assist with daily room checks, outdoor checks, and ensure the nursery is always clean, tidy, and fit for purpose.
  • **Childcare Tasks:** Support the preparation and completion of activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage, promote good hygiene practices, and ensure the well-being of children at all times.

Requirements:

  • **Qualifications:** Relevant Early Years qualifications, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
  • **Experience:** Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding procedures.
  • **Skills:** Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
