As a key member of our Offender Healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders and working as part of the Mental Health In-Reach Team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders, including assessment, screening, and interventions.
- Work as part of the Mental Health In-Reach Team to deliver mental health services to offenders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans for offenders with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with community mental health teams to ensure continuity of care and sharing of information.
- Deliver high-quality reports and mental health expertise to multi-agency public protection panels, police, probation services, and court liaison teams.
- Provide active clinical leadership and supervision within the team.
- Participate in resource centre services, delivering psychological therapy and specialist activities.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Practitioner with a strong background in offender healthcare.
- Experience of working with offenders with complex mental health needs.
- Ability to work in a psychologically minded way with offenders to achieve their agreed goals and quality health outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
