We provide a range of services, including substance misuse treatment, mental health support, and employment training.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 5 Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Substance Misuse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals affected by substance misuse.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatment programs and to promote recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for individuals with substance misuse issues
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing
- Work closely with our medical team to provide medication-assisted treatment and to manage complex medical needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our substance misuse services
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
- Experience of working in substance misuse services, preferably in a nurse-led setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
