Compensation: £50,000 - £70,000

Job Overview

A prominent and forward-thinking organization in the radar technology sector is in search of a Safety Assurance Specialist to enhance their diverse engineering team. Renowned for their expertise in crafting tailored radar solutions and comprehensive radar systems, this organization boasts a global presence with installations across numerous countries. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in generating safety assurance documentation for various civil and military initiatives. The position is primarily situated at the company’s main office, with potential travel to partner locations.

Contract Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Safety Assurance capacity, with a focus on creating safety assurance documentation and/or Safety Cases in line with established National/International standards.
  • Expertise in Reliability Prediction, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to achieving objectives.
  • Capability to lead and engage in small group discussions as necessary.
  • NVQ Level 5 qualification in engineering or science, or equivalent.
  • Experience in transportation or defense design or assurance sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in electronic or software engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in developing Software Assurance/Integrity Levels and relevant documentation.
  • Background in Aviation or Air Traffic Management.
  • Familiarity with Reliability Development, Testing, and Demonstration processes.
  • Experience in Maintainability Analysis and Demonstration.
