We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our team at Arena Racing Company. As a Finance Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our finance function, while also developing the skills needed to achieve AAT level 2 qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the processing of purchase orders, ensuring adequate authorization has been provided.
- Process purchase invoices, including set-up of new suppliers, authorization, and coding.
- Create sales invoices, including set-up of new customers and accurate coding.
- Assist with chasing outstanding payments due.
- Support with payroll administration, including set-up of new starters and processing timesheets.
- Meet the demands of qualification requirements and work with the training provider to ensure qualification is obtained within set timescales.
- Attend college/training provider as and when required.
- Meet deadlines of college/training provider.
- Efficiently use systems, including Exchequer finance system, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Maintain a confidential filing system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to the Finance department.
- Perform other general administrative duties, such as copying, filing, and archiving.
- Respond to basic requests for information relating to the Finance function of the business.
- Excellent communication skills.
