Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Regent College London is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality teaching and learning materials, as well as facilitating teaching sessions in a hybrid (face-to-face or online) environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain attendance registers for teaching sessions and work with the attendance team to ensure accuracy of student information.
- Deliver/facilitate teaching sessions in line with approved program and module specifications.
- Develop teaching materials for modules and make suggestions for improving student academic experience.
- Support the production of assessments for modules and ensure they are approved in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Identify cases of possible academic misconduct and escalate them according to relevant procedures.
- Ensure issues of student engagement or performance are addressed and signpost students to specialist College services as necessary.
- Field pastoral requirements from students and signpost them to relevant specialist College services as necessary.
- Monitor the progress of individual students' Learning Support Plans and liaise with specialist services as necessary.
- Engage with Programme Committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of students' learning experiences.
- Engage with other parts of the College's quality assurance and academic governance frameworks as opportunities arise.
- Contribute to the accreditation of programs and quality control processes.
- Engage in scholarship to support teaching activities and continually update knowledge.
- Extend, transform, and apply knowledge from scholarship to teaching and external activities.
- Support the School in its plans and in line with the College's Scholarship Plan.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant subject discipline.
- Fellowship of the Advanced Higher Education (HEA) or willingness to work towards within 12 months.
- Sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching programs and provide learning support.
- Experience of teaching, curriculum development, and quality management and enhancement in an HE environment.
- Appropriate digital skills in learning, teaching, and assessment.
