Change Implementation Specialist

Capita is seeking an experienced IT Change Implementation Analyst to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis. This role will be focused on delivering a specialist project with our regulated Life & Pensions / Financial Services division, specifically focusing on configuration management and upgrade of our development toolsets.
Key Responsibilities- Controlled deployment of software changes made to large-scale Policy Administration Systems and Ancillary applications across a range of platforms in the IT estate, ensuring the integrity of environments at all levels during the SDLC and complying with Change & Release policies/procedures.
- Administration, support, and maintenance of Configuration Management (CM) software, deployment tools, and utilities used to version manage and deploy our suite of systems and applications.
- Demonstrable experience in a Change Implementation role, preferably within a Life and Pensions organisation.
- Comprehensive level of skills/knowledge in Microsoft VSS, VB6, Scripting (e.g. Powershell), Windows & Unix server, Databases (inc. Mainframe DB2, SQL Server, ORACLE SQL), Weblogic, IIS, BMC Remedy or similar ITSM products, and understanding of the SDLC and Change & Release Management framework.
- Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet business needs.
- Ability to work comfortably under pressure and to tight time scales, with a methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
