Overview
Amazon Freight is seeking a skilled Program Manager to define, integrate, and expand new supply channels for its latest service offering, known as Less-than-Truckload (LTL). This role is pivotal in shaping the supply strategy that Amazon Freight LTL will adopt to meet customer needs while collaborating with various product, technical, and program teams to establish and enable these requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate new supply programs, develop and track performance metrics, and report on the progress of critical objectives that influence deliverables.
  • Conduct research, establish, and benchmark cost targets to enhance Amazon Freight's profitability.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders, including program, product, internal carrier, and procurement teams, to define and align on carrier profiles, performance expectations, and procurement strategies, while creating and monitoring supply performance KPIs that impact costs and customer experience.
  • Define the vision and scope of the program as the business scales, ensuring that appropriate supply channels are established for both short-term and long-term needs.
  • Collaborate with various Amazon departments to identify and implement best practices.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team within a program environment to address challenges and drive progress.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and internal processes, establishing standards for operational excellence.

Daily Responsibilities
As a Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and enhancement of initiatives that ensure operational efficiency. You will work closely with a diverse range of Amazon colleagues to gain insights into their workflows and share your expertise. Together, you will identify new opportunities and take the lead in designing their implementation.

You will support your teams and colleagues in achieving significant deliverables while proactively seeking innovative, data-driven methods to improve processes. Your contributions will be vital to the success of your team.

About the Team
The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is essential to Amazon's operational success. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a crucial role in our achievements. Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help optimize Amazon's transportation operations. Our team leverages data to inform decisions, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.

Basic Qualifications
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs or projects utilizing project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to use data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Experience communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional context.
  • Strong SQL skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Quicksight.
