As a Supply Chain Manager at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our global supply chains. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization to optimize our supply chains, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Program Delivery: Deliver complex programs within Amazon Freight Operations, finding innovative solutions to complex problems while ensuring shipper experience and core functionality are not compromised.
- Supply Chain Modeling: Define supply chain and operating models for various businesses, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to improve efficiency across supply chains and multiple operations, providing insights to leadership.
- Project Support: Support the planning and organization of complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Project Ownership: Own simultaneous support of several strategic projects, serving as a single point of contact for Amazon Freight Operations during design, testing, and piloting stages.
- Reporting and Analytics: Implement and own reporting mechanisms for strategic projects and new workstreams, providing metrics and ad-hoc reporting and analytical deep-dives.
- Communication: Effectively communicate program milestones, requirements, and vision to Amazon Freight leadership and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will spend your days navigating challenges, resolving temporary issues, and driving Amazon towards achieving new objectives. You will work proactively and reactively, helping to forecast and plan for new projects while ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply chains.
About the TeamAmazon Freight Europe is a transportation service provider that uses Amazon's logistics network to deliver freight safely, on time, and at competitive costs. We offer shippers access to the same network of carriers, technology infrastructure, and tools that Amazon uses to move thousands of loads daily.
Requirements- Education: A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Relevant experience leading cross-functional programs or projects using project-management methodologies.
- Data Analysis: Relevant experience in analyzing data and creating reports for leadership.
- Communication: Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Project Management: Relevant experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Language: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Education: A degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics-related subject or MBA.
- Project Management: Project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
- Continuous Improvement: Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Operational Experience: Experience working in an operational environment or with technical teams.
- Supply Chain Experience: Relevant experience in a supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning role.
- Data Visualization: Experience using data visualization software, such as Tableau or Quicksight.
