Position Overview

Vision for Education - Preston is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Educator to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to enhancing the educational experiences of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Adapt teaching methodologies and resources to meet the diverse learning requirements of each student.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes academic achievement, emotional health, and positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, teaching assistants, and support personnel to formulate and implement individualized Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Establish effective communication with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the educational journey of students with SEND.
  • Stay informed about the latest educational practices and policies related to special educational needs, integrating these insights into your teaching strategies.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification.
  • Experience or specialization in teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various learning challenges, including autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies, interventions, and resources tailored for SEND students.
