Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) unit in a primary school in Cambridgeshire.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEMH needs, providing individualized and group support to help them achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children's development.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEMH needs
- Provide individualized and group support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students in the SEMH unit
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably within a primary school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, empathetic, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable but not essential)
- A supportive and friendly working environment
