The Position

As a Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical systems within our projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating with various disciplines, overseeing construction progress, and addressing any technical challenges to maintain adherence to contractual obligations and industry standards.

About You

You are a highly skilled engineer with a proven track record in leading electrical design projects from inception to completion. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with your strong communication and problem-solving skills, will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Excellence: Develop safe, economical, and reliable electrical systems that meet contractual requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborative Approach: Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, public health) to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs within the overall project scope.
  • Technical Oversight: Review tender submissions, drawings, and technical specifications to guarantee the quality of products and equipment aligns with design intent.
  • On-Site Management: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress against the approved designs and provide guidance to subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Project Leadership: Manage medium-sized projects internally and externally, overseeing deliverables, resources, and financial aspects.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and identifying opportunities for development.
  • Client Relations: Represent Responsum Global Ltd effectively in client meetings and maintain a clear understanding of project objectives throughout the lifecycle.
