This role will focus on delivering compassionate, woman-centered care in the postnatal environment, under the guidance of a midwife.

We are dedicated to enhancing our services for women, infants, and their families, as well as fostering a supportive work atmosphere for our staff.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Midwifery Support Practitioner to join our team and pursue a midwifery conversion to become an Assistant Midwifery Practitioner. This role will primarily focus on postnatal and transitional care settings. The position may involve working across various hospital sites.
Applicants should exhibit transferable skills necessary for effective collaboration with the midwifery team, including:
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities and teamwork
- Evidence of participation in service enhancement initiatives
- Proficient understanding of IT systems
The Midwifery Support Practitioner will adhere to established Trust policies and competencies, developing care plans that ensure a safe, respectful, and dignified environment for patients.
It is essential for the Midwifery Support Practitioner to consistently act in the best interests of patients, embodying the Trust's Values and Behaviors, the Trust Code of Conduct, and the nursing and midwifery 6C's.
The post holder will be expected to enhance their knowledge and skills within the specialty, contributing to the management and development of high-quality, compassionate patient care. They will support and advocate for quality improvement initiatives within their work area.
