Job Title: Civil and Structural Engineer (Senior)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil and Structural Engineer (Senior) to join our team at Girling Jones Ltd. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects and providing technical leadership to junior engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of environmental engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and project success.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Knowledge of the water and environmental sector, with experience of working on EA or Water Authority projects desirable.
  • Chartered status desirable but not essential.
