This position provides the successful candidate with a unique chance to engage in Band 5 rotations across diverse environments, including stroke care, acute medical settings, outpatient services, and community health. Responsibilities will encompass working in dysphagia within established competencies, with external dysphagia training available if necessary, as well as managing a broad spectrum of communication challenges and developing tailored therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for teamwork. While independent work is expected, seeking guidance and support from senior colleagues is encouraged when needed. Regular clinical supervision will be provided. This role is suitable for newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists or those looking to enhance their expertise and skill set. We offer a comprehensive multidisciplinary preceptorship program, high-quality clinical supervision, and frequent opportunities for peer collaboration.
Our Speech and Language Therapy team is a growing and vibrant group committed to professional advancement and evidence-based practices. This commitment is demonstrated through regular departmental training sessions, the introduction of innovative initiatives, and ongoing service evaluation and enhancement. We maintain a strong in-service training program and host regular journal club meetings.
