About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our Major Repairs team at Mears. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks, working from job to job on your planned route. You will need to possess a positive 'can do' attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under your own initiative.

The majority of work for this contract will be based in Norwich, with occasional travel to Ipswich. You will be required to hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have extensive firsthand experience in multiple trades, including joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, decorating, floor laying, and external works such as fencing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks, including joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, decorating, floor laying, and external works.
  • Work from job to job on your planned route, using your own initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a company van, fuel card, and uniform.
