Job Title: Divisional Fleet Manager - Water & Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Divisional Fleet Manager to join our team at Ipsum Group, a leading provider of specialist utility and infrastructure solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient transport of our fleet across the Water & Infrastructure business area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a fleet of 300+ vehicles, ensuring compliance with transport legislation and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective service planning, scheduling, and review processes.
  • Oversee contractor maintenance and manage the retention and recruitment of workshop mechanics and fleet team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective liaison and communication.
  • Contribute to the development of the Fleet and Road Risk strategy.
  • Monitor driver behaviours and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage fleet costs and ensure they remain within business expectations.
About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager with a strong background in road transport operations. You will have a relevant CPC qualification and in-depth knowledge of specialist vehicles used in the Water & Infrastructure business. You will also have a flexible attitude and approach, with a mechanical background and a thorough understanding of EU driver hours, GB Domestic hours, and the Working Time Directive.
