About the Role:


In response to our ongoing growth, Cityscape is seeking a permanent Bid Manager with a solid background in the civil engineering infrastructure sector.

Reporting directly to the Head of Bid Management, you will oversee and manage the bid response process, ensuring that submission documents align with the requirements of each tender while adhering to the bid budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire bid submission process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Formulate a bid strategy and win plan to enhance the likelihood of securing upcoming projects at commercially viable rates.
  • Organize and coordinate bid responses for all submissions, including reviewing bid text and contributing to the drafting of submission content as necessary.
  • Develop and manage the bid programme, identifying critical dates for information submission, review timelines, deadlines, and production of the bid, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of bid deliverables.
  • Facilitate the review of submissions to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Create and manage presentations.
  • Supervise the tender programme.
  • Participate in project briefings, mid-tender, and post-tender meetings as required.
  • Manage any pre-construction design requirements for the tender and oversee design; propose alternative design solutions as needed while maintaining knowledge of alternative technical solutions.
  • Analyze successful and unsuccessful submissions to promote continuous improvement.


As a Bid Manager, you will join a highly skilled and experienced team that has been with Cityscape for several years.

You will collaborate with other Bid Managers, Bid Coordinators, and Bid Writers, while closely liaising with the Estimating team.

Many members of the Pre-Construction team come from engineering backgrounds, providing you with the opportunity to work alongside technically proficient professionals who possess extensive knowledge of construction processes, fostering your professional development.

Given the long-term stability of our Pre-Construction team, we are looking for a professional who can introduce fresh ideas and innovative approaches to enhance our tender submissions.

The Pre-Construction team is known for its friendly and sociable atmosphere, creating a strong sense of community.

Benefits and Rewards:


For this permanent position, Cityscape is targeting professionals with a salary range of £70,000 to £80,000 per annum, with the specific salary determined by experience and suitability.

Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package is available, including a company vehicle or allowance, private health care, 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), and an 8% employer pension contribution.


Requirements:


To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bid Manager within a Tier One main contractor in the civil engineering infrastructure sector.

As this is an office-based role, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our office, and stability of employment is essential for this permanent position.
