Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our nursery class team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, ensuring individual learning needs are met and promoting positive behaviour and interactions.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
  • Support the social and emotional development of children, promoting positive relationships and a growth mindset.
  • Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources to ensure a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of children during playtime, lunchtime, and other school activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children's progress and well-being.
  • Contribute to the planning and assessment of learning activities, ensuring that our curriculum meets the needs of all students.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
