Job Overview

The Resuscitation Services team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Emergency Care Training Specialist. This position is integral to fostering a culture of safety and preparedness within our clinical teams, ensuring they are equipped to handle emergencies effectively. The department thrives on collaboration, motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

This role places a strong focus on the delivery of comprehensive training programs, aimed at enhancing the skills of our extensive clinical workforce, including those at our specialized cardiac center. Training courses encompass adult, pediatric, and neonatal competencies, along with the Generic Instructor Course. The ideal candidate will actively participate in these training sessions and contribute innovative ideas to address the evolving challenges in emergency care.

The team also plays a crucial role in responding to urgent situations, such as medical emergencies, cardiac arrests, and significant hemorrhages. Responsibilities include providing expert guidance, conducting audits, and establishing standards for safe resuscitation practices across the organization. Collaboration with partner teams is essential to promote initiatives that enhance the recognition and response to acute patient deterioration, ultimately contributing to a decrease in cardiac arrest incidents and aligning with the Trust's clinical objectives.
