We are seeking a seasoned Employment Law Specialist to join our team at Taylor Root, a leading global law firm. As an In-House Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing strategic legal advice to our clients regarding employment risks and remedies, and all aspects of the employment life cycle and cross-border employment matters in the jurisdictions in which we operate.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Employment Law Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice, guidance, and support on international employment-related legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigations and Compliance: Collaborate with our Human Resources Department to investigate employment-related claims, develop investigation plans, draft interview outlines, interview witnesses, review relevant files, summarize evidence, and write investigation reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Advise on and oversee employment law-related compliance matters, respond to audits and legal information requests from regulatory authorities, such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Employment Tribunal, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and the Information Commissioner's Office.
  • Support to General Counsel: Provide support to our Office of General Counsel, COLP, and Human Resources Department in other legal matters, including corporate governance, risk management, and ethics.


Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in employment law, preferably in a large law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Fluent in English, and proficiency in another language is an asset.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with unfailing attention to detail and accuracy.
