About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our North Essex Neighbourhood team, working with Adults aged 18 and above across all specialisms. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act.

The role involves conducting care act assessments, reviews, and safeguarding, as well as developing strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of social work, modelling good practice, and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. They will also have the ability to make clear decisions, highlight and limit potential risks associated with intervention, and have an in-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages.

This role offers hybrid working, with an expectation to be office-based at Magnet House in Clacton 2 days per week as a minimum. The successful candidate will be required to travel around Essex and beyond, and a driving licence and car, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means, is essential.

About You

To apply, you should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration and established experience in Adult Social Care. You will bring significant experience of social work, modelling good practice, and providing advice and guidance in complex situations.

You will also bring evidence of continuing professional development and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards, as well as the ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
