About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for creating and driving a culture of safety and wellbeing within your area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Analyse and implement changes to maintain quality and productivity
- Lead projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity, and increase quality of service for customers
- Analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
- Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life:
You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.
Our team is the foundation of our business, and its efforts have helped us diversify across new regions and services. With the help of emerging technology, we are always looking for ways to offer a bigger, better product range – delivered quickly and affordably.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in people management
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Written and spoken English language skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
- AR experience recommended
- Experience working in another logistics environment
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment
