We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Haematology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with haematological malignancies.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care and support to patients and their families, including holistic needs assessment and individualized care planning.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient pathways and nursing services.
- Contribute to the development of the service locally and nationally, ensuring excellence in clinical practice and quality standards.
- Deliver nurse-led clinics and provide expert knowledge and advice in haematology nursing.
- Participate in audit and research activities, and contribute to the development of new ways of working.

Person Specification- Essential qualifications: first-level nursing registration, post-registration qualification in haematology, first-level degree in a related subject, evidence of continued professional development, recognized teaching qualification or working towards, chemotherapy qualification.
- Desirable qualifications: working towards a Master's level qualification, advanced communication skills, level 2 psychology skills training, non-medical nurse prescribing course.
- Essential experience: relevant post-registration experience at band 6 or above in haematology or a cancer-related area, previous experience in a post involving clinical and managerial responsibilities, previous experience of teaching and developing teaching materials, ability to develop new ways of working, ability to deal with complex clinical scenarios, experience of multi-professional working.
- Desirable experience: previous experience as a clinical nurse specialist, experience of audit and research, ability to lead and influence change.
