The LNG Market Analyst plays a crucial role in the deployment of a comprehensive LNG ETRM system, tailored to fulfill the needs of the PetroChina group. This individual will be tasked with analyzing, filtering, and coordinating user requests in collaboration with the broader project team, while effectively managing user expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and analyze business requirements while modeling relevant business processes.
- Articulate functional solutions, highlighting key assumptions and dependencies.
- Outline the business processes that the solution will address and assess the impact of proposed changes.
- Resolve detailed issues regarding requirements, facilitating decision-making and achieving consensus.
- Assist in the development of testing strategies and execute test cases.
- Support technical teams in designing solutions that comprehensively cover business processes and requirements.
- Contribute to decision-making regarding the phased rollout of the solution.
- Engage in change management activities, including planning for benefits realization, training, and communication.
- Estimate the effort required for future project phases.
- Work independently and collaboratively to implement technology-driven business transformations.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience in LNG trading.
- Familiarity with Planlogic EoS is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in shipping management.
- Knowledge of key trading, risk, and product control processes.
- Strong grasp of data flows within an energy trading environment.
- Comprehension of trading and financial terminology.
- Proven experience in drafting functional specifications and business requirements for development teams is essential.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- The candidate should thrive in a dynamic environment, possessing a solid understanding of core LNG trading processes with an emphasis on risk and product control.
- Ability to swiftly adapt to shifting business priorities and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Collaborate closely with various key business stakeholders (front, middle, back office) to gather requirements (both functional and non-functional), conduct workshops, and document outcomes.
