As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated professional to support the Head of HR in executing daily HR functions and spearheading key initiatives and projects within our HR team.

This position will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, allowing you to assist the Head of HR and the HR team in various HR functions, with a particular emphasis on the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing clear and expert guidance in accordance with our HR policies and practices.
  • Handling a broad spectrum of cases, including performance management, absence management, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Supporting the Head of HR and serving as the primary advisor for case management.
  • Contributing to the formulation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Assisting line managers in enhancing their confidence and skills in addressing people-related challenges.
  • Collaborating closely with the training department to identify training needs, develop training plans, and assess their effectiveness.
  • Participating in the ongoing enhancement of HR programs, including talent management, succession planning, employee retention, and compensation and benefits.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will possess substantial experience in a generalist HR role and will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Proven track record in coaching line managers on employment and performance issues within a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law, with hands-on experience managing a variety of complex cases.
  • Ability to juggle multiple complex issues and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Experience in guiding first-line managers through assessment and diagnosis to facilitate effective problem-solving.
  • CIPD Level 5 certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in employment case management, providing support and coaching to line managers.
  • Experience in developing employment-related policies and processes.
  • Some exposure to entry-level business partnering with first-line managers.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and practical application in a business context.
  • Strong financial insight with proficiency in Excel and a data-driven approach.
