Job Title: Senior Data Governance Manager

Travelers is seeking a Senior Data Governance Manager to join our International Business Intelligence & Analytics (IBIA) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data management needs and develop solutions to address them.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to data management professionals and analysts to ensure effective data governance practices.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for data remediation.
  • Work with IT to conduct testing of reference data and other changes and provide appropriate sign-offs.
  • Influence business priorities by assisting with roadmap updates and sprint planning.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and project management skills, including experience managing stakeholders, especially data consumers.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify critical project tasks and establish clear priorities while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
  • Ability to understand data management, including metadata management, lineage, and cataloging.
  • Strong understanding of overall physical and logical data model and of data relationships, mapping, lineage, and business rules.
  • Prior experience with one or more of the following tools and languages: SQL, Snowflake, Teradata, MicroStrategy, Qlik Sense, QlikView, Rally, Jira, and Confluence.
