Working closely with the Regional Poppy Appeal Manager, you will develop and oversee a budget for income and expenditures, providing regular updates and analysis.

Relationship management is a key aspect of this position, where you will manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships within the region and collaborate with various internal teams to achieve shared objectives. Strong communication skills are essential, allowing you to effectively engage with supporters and stakeholders, ensuring a rewarding experience for all involved.

A unique feature of this position is the management of the Poppy Appeal activities. In addition to overseeing relationships and budgets, you will be responsible for recruiting and training new Poppy Appeal Organisers, equipping them with the necessary resources for success. You will also plan and coordinate the launch of the Poppy Appeal, including public relations and media initiatives, to enhance the appeal's visibility and impact.

Your responsibilities will extend to representing the Royal British Legion in the local community, participating in outreach efforts, and keeping key stakeholders informed. Flexibility is crucial, as the role may require evening and weekend work, as well as occasional overnight travel. The ideal candidate will resonate with the values of the Royal British Legion, demonstrating a commitment to its mission and objectives.

The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of commercial principles, experience in financial management, and a background in supporter relationship management. Excellent planning, organizational, and IT skills are necessary, along with the ability to evaluate the commercial implications of decisions. This role calls for a collaborative team player who can effectively communicate with diverse groups, both in writing and verbally.
