Job Title: CPU Hardware Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a new and competitive CPU architecture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining interfaces between hardware, firmware, and operating systems for systems based on our CPU architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop CPU architecture and micro-architecture features, including caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, and CPU pipelines.
  • Work with a wider team of experts, architects, and engineers to ensure client requirements are met and turned into reality.
  • Collaborate with the team to bridge architectural excellence and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features, including ARM/RISC-V/MIPS architecture and current ARM/RISC-V CPU cores.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in CPU architecture and micro-architecture.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Working experience within the software development space, including C programming and knowledge of low-level assembler programming languages.
  • Familiarity with the Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX), Scalable Vector Extension (SVE), Scalable Matrix Extension (SME), Confidential Compute Architecture (CCA), and Morello/CHERI technologies.
