Job Title: European Power Analyst

BloombergNEF is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our European Power team in London. As a European Power Analyst, you will be responsible for building and analyzing power market models, writing research on the future of European electricity markets and prices, and working closely with our gas, carbon, and data teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex power market models and datasets
  • Conduct research and analysis on European power markets and prices
  • Write reports and present findings to clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and data streams
  • Engage with clients to help them extract value from our products
Requirements:
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience in coding with Python
  • Strong knowledge of the energy industry and European power markets
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other quantitative science
  • Up to five years of experience in the energy industry, either conducting research or working in the wider energy industry
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-graduate qualifications with a focus on energy
  • Natural aptitude for graphically presenting data
  • Experience working with Microsoft office products
  • Professional experience covering European electricity markets
