This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across multiple locations within a designated area.
The technician will perform routine and emergency repairs on various electrical, mechanical, and structural assets in facilities, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to the company's Health and Safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the organization professionally and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
- Complete all necessary Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and ensure accurate logging of remedial actions to maintain legal compliance.
- Supervise and mentor the Maintenance Assistant, providing guidance to align their work with company standards.
- Respond promptly to service requests, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks to meet agreed timelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any maintenance issues that may disrupt operations.
- Conduct surveys and prepare reports as necessary.
- Perform alterations and installations within technical expertise, adhering to current specifications.
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance as directed, including structural repairs.
- Assist fellow technicians in other locations when required.
- Recruit and select qualified Maintenance Assistants to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize time effectively in job administration.
- Participate in training to keep skills updated with industry developments.
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Ensure compliance documentation for assigned tasks meets quality standards.
- Facilitate mandatory training for the team, ensuring completion within required timelines.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to ensure team members meet performance standards.
- Deliver technical training to enhance team capabilities, encouraging active participation.
- Manage induction and training documentation, including performance reviews.
- Participate in an Out of Hours standby rota and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Conduct initial assessments for equipment issues related to safety and HVAC systems.
- Comply with any reasonable requests from management.
People Management:
Responsible for interviewing, recruiting, and overseeing the Maintenance Assistant and other support staff in the designated areas.
Manage employee records, including holidays and absences.

Level 3 core Electrical qualification (e.g., C&G 2330, C&G 2365) with relevant experience.
