Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the farm, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, weight, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and manage farm conditions, including ventilation, heating, feed, water, litter, and lighting systems.
- Implement and enforce strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Manage and train farm employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm activities, including weekly paperwork and employee timesheets.
- Attend relevant training courses and workshops to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Proven experience in managing staff and a strong background in stock management.
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent prioritization skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
