Job Summary
A System Integration Specialist is responsible for the technical and/or operational workstream in a conversion project. We refer to a conversion project when a travel agency (TMC, Leisure agency or OTA) moves all or a part of their Air/Car/Hotel/Rail business from a competitor GDS to Sabre.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports conversion projects in Europe and Africa.
- Supports scoping studies and scope revalidations.
- Ensures successful integration and configuration of all required interfaces (e.g. Mid/Back Office, B2B, B2C, Corporate Booking Engines etc.).
- Works closely with technology partners to ensure successful implementation and integration of their respective products.
- Adopts all standards and processes specified in the playbooks for delivery from configuration to installation and testing and integration of all required products.
- Plans and conducts customer training (virtual or onsite).
- Executes Floorwalking: Provides support to agents during first days after go-live either virtually or onsite until client is running as BAU.
- Maintains a very close working relationship with customer's Operations & IT counterparts.
- Seeks and obtains information about Customers' technology project portfolio and priorities including but not limited to regular engagements on workflow optimization, automation needs, revenue diversification, etc.
- Persuades the customer to prioritize and implement projects to adopt Sabre's products first and demonstrates Sabre products/solutions as required to secure new sales/product adoption.
- Defines metrics to measure Sabre's product performance and influences teams within Sabre to ensure that Sabre product performs above parity.
- Manages customer perception by focusing the customer on the benefits of using and adopting Sabre technology.
- Manages customer's Sabre product system integration and beta test activity and identify critical path items and key risks to stakeholders.
- Facilitate customer's escalation path to promote visibility and subsequent resolution of customer's challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience in travel industry, including E2E workflow & common operational knowledge.
- Fluency in Spanish is a must for this role.
- Strong understanding of at least one GDS.
- Technical experience in customer facing situations primarily focused on consulting positioning and implementing technical proposals and solutions within the travel industry.
- In-depth experience of working with Corporate and Leisure travel agencies across the EMEA region.
- Knowledge of development tools, including APIs and Web Services is a must.
- Proactive approach to technical problem solving and customer engagements.
- Ability to analyze, identify and resolve complex problems in daily operations.
- An innovative thinker with the ability to approach situations from a different yet logical perspective.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
- Understands the complexity of a fast-paced technology business and works well in a matrix organization.
Additional Information
- Languages: English and Spanish fluent both written and verbal (additional languages are a Plus).
- Travel required: 25% of the time.
