We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse to join our Endoscopy team as a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Band 7 in the management of the Endoscopy Unit to deliver efficient and productive services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and plan care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures
- Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
- Supervise and mentor junior staff
- Manage and coordinate the endoscopy service, including scheduling and resource allocation
- Registered Nurse on sub part 1 or 2 of the professional register
- Evidence of continuing education
- NMC recognised Mentorship qualification
- Teaching and Assessing qualification (desirable)
- Experience in Gastrointestinal Nursing Training (facilitator) (desirable)
- Recognised Leadership Course (desirable)
