About The Role

Delivering Excellence in Project Management

M Group Services is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Colchester. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enabling projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

You will work closely with the Delivery/Operational Manager to support the delivery of MEICA Projects, particularly during periods of high workload or resource constraints. Your responsibilities will include capturing asset changes, raising Early Warning Notices and Change Requests, and ensuring the data and processes in place are robust and auditable.

You will also be responsible for developing solutions that optimize TOTEX, ensuring compliance with corporate governance processes, and challenging data to establish clear cost and risk benefit propositions.

In addition, you will ensure personal Health & Safety and MTRA are completed and valid, and that near misses are recorded through good catch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Delivery/Operational Manager in the delivery of MEICA Projects
  • Capture asset changes and raise Early Warning Notices and Change Requests
  • Develop solutions to optimize TOTEX and ensure compliance with corporate governance processes
  • Ensure personal Health & Safety and MTRA are completed and valid

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in planning and resource scheduling
  • Hold an appropriate professional engineering qualification
  • Demonstrate excellent customer management and external stakeholder management skills
  • Strong negotiator
  • Basic understanding of the regulatory processes that govern AW's IOS Initiative
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Strong cost and risk-based analysis skills
  • Experience working in an operational water setting
