Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Administrator to join our team at dormakaba. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across our global network.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Consolidate and track freight supplier information to inform vendor appraisals and optimize logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate data on freight control tower exceptions and timed spend to drive operational efficiency.
- Provide quotations for freight movements and develop expertise to offer guidance on domestic and international logistics.
- Develop product knowledge to accurately calculate weight and dimensions for freight quotes and paperwork.
- Monitor carrier spend and fluctuations, and conduct invoice auditing and clearance.
- Coordinate container and air freight shipment dates with forwarders and suppliers to minimize delivery time and cost.
- Proven ability to work accurately and methodically in a data-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Import and export experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent MRP systems is also desirable but not essential.
