Finance Supervisor Role

Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with a leading Manufacturing Group to recruit a dynamic Finance Supervisor. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves supporting day-to-day and monthly accounting processes, as well as supervising a Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare monthly Management Accounts
  2. Maintain fixed asset registers
  3. Post accounting journals
  4. Process VAT returns
  5. Reconcile bank statements
  6. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  7. Coordinate import/export documentation processes
  8. Assist with audit preparation and year-end schedules
  9. Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
  10. Issue and update stock schedules
  11. Raise purchase orders
  12. Implement credit control processes
  13. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the CFO

You will support and assist with supervising the finance assistant while remaining hands-on with transactional duties.

Requirements
  1. Experience in a similar position, ideally AAT qualified, qualified by experience, or studying CIMA/ACCA
  2. Strong communication skills to build internal and external relationships
  3. Organisational skills and reliability
  4. Attention to detail
  5. Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads
  6. Experience with financial systems and good MS Excel skills
  7. Comfort working in a close-knit finance team and varied roles
  8. Experience in the manufacturing sector and supervising team members (advantageous but not essential)
What You'll Get

This Finance Supervisor role offers a salary between £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience, based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Benefits include a contributed pension scheme, parking on-site, increasing holiday allowance with length of service, future progression, and a study package for ACCA/CIMA/AAT if applicable.
