Job Title: Premises Staff - Cleaner
Job Type: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5pm to 9pm
Salary: Up to £13,448 (actual pay)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and committed School Cleaner to join our small team of dedicated cleaners. As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the school, ensuring a clean and safe environment for pupils and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Clean, mop, and vacuum classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas
- Empty litter and recycling bins
- Polish and dust, including the cleaning of sanitary ware
- Report any maintenance or safety issues and concerns to the Bursar
- Participate in deep cleaning responsibilities, including wall washing, carpet/rug cleaning, washing floors, and internal window cleaning
Requirements:
- Have an Enhanced DBS
- Be reliable and punctual
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Be committed to maintaining high cleaning standards
- Have an understanding of Health and Safety and COSSH Regulations or a willingness to undertake relevant training
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work 39 weeks a year (term time plus additional five INSET days), plus an additional 10 full days for deep cleaning purposes. These additional days are usually over the summer holidays and payment is in addition to the basic salary.
