About the Role

As a Vision Support Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our Eye Care Support Service, providing essential assistance to individuals impacted by visual impairments. This position is designed for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by sight loss.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver comprehensive emotional support, information, and guidance to individuals facing sight loss, both in person and through digital platforms.
  2. Conduct needs assessments to help clients identify their requirements and empower them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
  3. Maintain accurate records and manage data entry using various IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  4. Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  5. Provide training and resources to clinic staff to improve awareness and understanding of visual impairments.

What We Seek

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing information and support services, preferably in a healthcare or community setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office 365, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
