Research Associate in Bayesian Statistics and AI

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at The International Society for Bayesian Analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of novel statistical inference tools in Bayesian Statistics and AI.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team of leading researchers to develop and apply cutting-edge statistical methods in three domains:
Key Responsibilities- Develop novel, flexible, and computationally tractable spatio-temporal statistical inference tools in Bayesian Statistics and AI
- Apply these tools in HIV deep-sequence phylogenetics, caregiver loss quantification, and species mapping and forecasting
- Collaborate with international organizations and leading researchers in the field
You will have access to some of the finest longitudinal datasets in Africa and South America and will receive hands-on training in machine learning and modern statistics, epidemiological, and phylogenetic techniques.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London and will work closely with the Machine Learning & Global Health Network (MLGH).
