Role Overview:

We are seeking a Grounds Care Specialist to become a vital member of our Estates and Facilities team. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of our institution by:

Performing grounds upkeep tasks across the Bedford College Group properties, ensuring they are maintained to exemplary standards. Conducting proactive maintenance activities to guarantee that all college areas remain safe, clean, organized, and inviting. Collaborating with the Senior Grounds Technician to enhance biodiversity across all Bedford College Group locations.

Candidate Profile:

Relevant horticultural qualification at level 2 or equivalent. Proficient in operating horticultural machinery, tractors, and grass cutting tools, including both rotary and cylinder types. Skilled in using hedge trimming and strimming equipment. At least 2 years of experience in horticulture. Familiarity with adhering to written procedures and guidelines.

Established in 2017, The Bedford College Group emerged from the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College, now serving as the largest educational provider in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students annually.
