Your Impact as a Grounds Maintenance Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and monitoring of communal garden areas across various sites managed by Riverside.

About You

We are seeking an individual who possesses:

  • Proficiency in grounds maintenance.
  • Understanding of horticultural techniques.
  • Familiarity with the selection of gardening tools and products.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform gardening tasks such as lawn mowing, shrub trimming, planting, weeding, and litter collection.
  • Manage the clearance of bulk waste as necessary.
  • Report site-related issues to management, including health and safety concerns.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Provide coverage for colleagues during absences as needed.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of horticultural practices.
  • Experience with gardening tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with powered equipment such as mowers and trimmers.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Relevant training and experience.
  • Understanding of risk management.
  • A valid driving license is required.
