Position Overview:
As a Lead Civil Engineer at MRR Infrastructure Limited, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engineering solutions for our clients' projects within the power transmission and distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Technical Leadership:** Act in a senior technical capacity to produce engineering deliverables related to civil and structural engineering.
2. **Project Management:** Lead the successful output of civil and structural engineering deliverables, collaborating with the Section Manager to assemble a skilled team from our global offices.
3. **Design Development:** Produce comprehensive civil and structural engineering design packages that comply with national technical standards, including the analysis of foundations and structural components.
4. **Project Design:** Oversee various civil project designs, including site design, land development, and utility design, ensuring adherence to best practices.
5. **Multi-disciplinary Collaboration:** Undertake senior technical roles on project-specific teams, providing expertise in civil and structural engineering for power infrastructure projects.
6. **Quality Assurance:** Conduct technical quality assurance reviews and provide design approval/sign-off as required.
7. **Policy Development:** Assist in developing and implementing engineering policies, processes, and standards to enhance the capability of the Civil/Structural Section.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of civil and structural engineering design experience, with at least 5 years in the electricity transmission and distribution sector.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design management best practices and relevant UK Health & Safety legislation.

Skills:
- Proficient in using CAD technology/software for civil and structural engineering design.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles and project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Commitment to Development:
Support the professional growth of less experienced engineers, providing guidance and recommending training needs. Engage in marketing and business development activities to foster client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
